4th Edition of the "Swing on Snow" Festival, from January 25 till February 1, 2009.
In co-operation with the Seiser Alm Marketing Tourism Association, the aerial lift operators of the Seiser Alm / Alpe di Siusi are organizing, for the fourth time, the "Swing on Snow" Dolomite Music Festival in South Tyrol's Seiser Alm / Alpe di Siusi. With 22 concerts and 22 interesting stages in seven days, "Swing on Snow" has developed into a musical, entertaining, and varied white week.
This year, too, the program is headed by Hartwig Mumelter, who is himself an enthusiastic and experienced musician and whose concept encompasses the most-varied of musical styles and which can be clearly heard also in this edition of "Swing on Snow."
We will present to you the complete and current program by late-September.
But we are happy to already be able to give you a little sample now and present to you two music groups which will appear in the last week of January of 2009 during the "Swing on Snow" festival.

Four young musicians from South Tyrol who have been influenced by the four elements: air serves to yodel and sing, earth to stomp on, fire to fiddle, pluck, and strum, and water to laugh, cry, and sweat. And if you ask them what to what musical genre Opas Diandl belongs, the answer will be: "To many – but in unexpected ways!"

The Purzelbaum Ensemble arose from the desire to play authentic, traditional Swiss music to which you can also dance. The audience should amuse itself like in yesteryear – or at least as the band's three highly talented musicians think it was like. Marcel Oetiker, Robin Mark, and Pirmin Huber and their "Schwyzerörgelis" (Swiss Organs) and the Double Bass have adopted and adapted various different musical styles, in keeping with their motto of "Let your roots swing."
